Your Weekly Guide to Leveraging Technology in College Counseling
Welcome to Tech-Neill-ogy #105!
The first full week of the school year is behind us! It was busy but invigorating. We spend Wednesday through Saturday (and then again on Monday) in about 11 hours of programming for our seniors, getting them prepared for the upcoming semester and application season. It was great!
That said, lots of interesting things to share this week. I hope you enjoy the newsletter!

I have shared this one before, but given that we just shared it with our current seniors on Friday in an application workshop, I am reminded of its power.
I am a high school senior, and you are a professional marketer. Generate an elevator pitch about me as a college applicant using the information drawn from the worksheet provided below. The pitch should be brief, professional, and compelling, it must be written in the first person, and it should be no longer than 6 sentences.

The quality of the output, as with anything, comes from the quality of the input. In this case, the brag sheet needs to be scrupulously detailed and updated, but, when that happens, it is amazing to watch students wrestle with the output.
Please, if you have any great prompts or ideas, please share! Send me a note at [email protected].

If you know of any upcoming events related to AI or tech and college counseling/admissions, please let me know! There’s been a growth in these events that I find difficult to stay on top of!

That’s it for this week, but before ending, here are two different non-tech articles that struck me this week:
And now this one:
Coffee doesn’t dehydrate you!? Who knew?
Anyway, best wishes for a great week! Happy counseling!
