On my end, it was good getting back into somewhat of a routine for a few days last week after traveling some. Read more here. Now we are into the beloved “downhill sprint” to graduation: we will all make it to the bottom of the hill. We just hope to keep our feet beneath us!

In any case, enjoy this week’s newsletter!

I was working with a school in a consulting capacity recently. They have a host of college counselors and were finding it difficult not to act like 5 different college counseling offices when it came to student advocacy. Whether chatting with visiting college representatives, engaging with them at conferences, or pursuing old-fashioned counselor calls, they identified a primary challenge being able to advocate on behalf of others’ counselees. So we crafted this simple but powerful blurb creator:

Take the following high school college counselor letter of recommendation and summarize the student in 5 sentences, including their intended major and significant accolades or strengths.

I can see a host of use cases for this and similar prompts. If you have any great prompts or ideas, please share! Send me a note at [email protected].

That’s all of this week, except for this week’s non-tech article. It is not an article per se, but rather a wonderful resource I stumbled upon recently for assisting students with writing UK personal statements, put out by UCAS. Take a look:

Happy counseling!
