Your Weekly Guide to Leveraging Technology in College Counseling

Welcome to Tech-Neill-ogy #71!

No LinkedIn update this week! I spent Monday through Thursday in Austin, Texas for the annual College Board Forum. It was an excellent event. Great networking. Great sessions. Great food! I had the honor of participating in two different sessions, on on AI in Counseling and one on international student mobility. I would encourage you to take a look at the first article below in the “Course Catalog” section to read my interview with Ileana Najarro from EducationWeek after the session. It was a fun conversation.

Back in São Paulo for this week before heading overseas again for a couple of weeks surrounding conference travel. Hope to see many of you on the road!

In any case, enjoy this week’s newsletter!

If you read carefully, though this newsletter has historically been focused exclusively on artificial intelligence, it is intended to focus on “the intersection of college counseling and technology”! Not just AI! So here’s a really interesting use case of some non-AI tech.

If you have any great prompts or ideas, please share! Send me a note at [email protected].

As I’ve been told is usual for me in my newsletters (but not in person), I’m not going to say too much about this, but for this week’s non-tech share-out, I hope you enjoy this piece from Patrck O’Connor on the changing narrative around college:

Enjoy the rest of the week, and happy counseling,

Jeff
